Ab Westerweel (1936) worked in the graphic industry for many years, from 2005 he returned full-time to his great passion of painting. Ab has developed his own characteristic style from strictly figurative to increasingly abstract. Cheerful, full colours, straight lines and round shapes lead to suggestive-figurative, abstract compositions. Colors and assumptions often play the leading role, sometimes there is room for Ab's own irritation or illusion, but what concerns him most is the infinite.
